Gosh Darn It.
Here's the thing...I am 100% sure we have a computer virus. That being said, I deleted another post that I had completely written. Are the two related? Probably not but I'm running with it. I've taken the necessary precautions and backed up all my most recent pics on a flash drive and am going to risk trying to squeeze in one or two more posts before I take it in. Or before I can con convince Jonathan into letting me get a new one ;)
Anyhoo, I really have no idea of what we did last weekend anymore it's been so long...but I have pictures so that should help! I tried to stay home so I could work on Harpie's fancy bedroom, and I did a pretty good job of that, but we did go out a bit. Oh right, looking at this I remember what this was mostly about...the sharpie incident. Let us proceede...
Okay, here is where I make a confession. I may or may not have killed Sparky the fish. I cleaned his bowl and I thought I did the right mixture of water but he super died. Didn't even float, that's how much he died. Thatch took it pretty rough that first hour so I did what I do best. I made cookies for dinner. Here's Coopster sneaking some raw dough from the cookie sheet. It's in his genetics, he just can't get past them.
And a quick video of the Coopster...and Spiderman, who was feeling under the weather.
Harps LOVES eating (those genetics strike again). So far she's a big fan of pears, apples, sweet potatoes and somewhat a fan of oatmeal. She is not fond of butternut squash.
Here's a quickie of Harpie eating. It's boring but seriously, she's cute and at the end gives a funny little shiver.
And here's where the proverbial poop hit the fan. It was Sunday of Jonathan's night shift, which you all know marks the bottom of the patience barrel for my Love. He's tired and grumpy and completely unpleasnt to be around. <---That was being generous in my description of him.
I was painting in Harper's room and baby gated Cooper out of it (which was a wise decision in hindsight) so I wasn't paying attention. Yea, Yea, it's my fault. I heard Thatcher yell, "NO COOPIE, DON'T COLOR ON THE TV." I was off that ladder and over that gate faster than a fat chick after a free twinkie. Here's what I found.
Jonathan lost his mind. I promptly locked Cooper in his room for his safety (and our sanity). This TV is Jonathan's baby during the winter time. In the summer his baby is his lawn.
After some googling one post said to use acetone (seriously, acetone? That's a terrible idea.) and another said to try dry erase marker on top of the permanent marker. We figured what the heck, it's already ruined. A Christmas miracle occurred and it worked!!!
Cooper was clearly sniffing the sharpie or trying to give himself a Hitler mustache. I'm going to go with the sniffing.
So we figured, why not try it on Coop? It's not like it could get any worse, right?
No joke, it took it off him better than a bath ever would have! Shut up, Mama's gota new trick :D
And here's the TV afterwards...tuned to ESPN. Ugh.
After Jonathan left we headed outside to blow off some steam. They decided to play in the sprinklers which I found to be uncomfortably chilly. It wasn't exactly toasty outside either.
Oh, the trouble he is going to get into someday.
Lord bless this kid's mother because she's going to have it rough.
Anywho, Monday we were off and running again. Back to the grind...swimming and OT!
"Mom, no pictures until I've had my coffee."
Michael Phelps he isn't, but he's on his way ;)
Progress!! That's Thatch in the middle! He NEVER used to jump in the pool. I'm so impressed with him.
Mr. Cooper waiting patiently for his big brother.
When we got home Jonathan was sleeping and Cooper took a nap so we went out to play in the nice weather. Harper hadn't been in the swing yet, I don't know why really, just laziness forgetfulness on my part probably. She LOVED it! She's a thrill seeker, great.
Happy Harpie.
Oh, I wish you could have heard the laughs!
A cute one from the Thatcheroo.
"Yeah, this is awesome."
It was brought to my attention that I only put awesome nice pictures of me in the blog. Well, here's a crappy one. Anyways, Thatch walked out of his room like this that evening. I have no idea why or what he was doing but the kid's got some style.
Thatch telling Jonathan something really important I suppose.
Okay, here's the back story. Jonathan and Thatch were talking about Shark Week, which has been much anticipated by the Yarsleys, and Jonathan asked Thatch to show him his shark face. This is was came from that. Oh, these boys of ours.
And so that brings us up to last Monday. Sheesh, I need to get on the ball with these. Wednesday we went to the fair and I took a bunch of pictures and ate way too much so I'll try to post that later on, if the computer can make it until then.
